A
Gambian-based charitable foundation, Jainaba Saine’s Charity for Disable (JSCD)
is out to give a helping hand to the vulnerable people especially those living
with disability with educational materials, wheel chairs and among a host of
other valuables.
The
foundation, which is scheduled to be launch in January 2019, is initiated by a Gambian
based in Holland by the name Jainaba Saine to change vulnerable lives.
“We want to enable all children and disabled
persons to reach their optimum potential so that maximal function is achieved,
deformity prevented or reduced and the effect of disability minimized so that
they may overcome many of the barriers that they and their families face,” says
the founder.
The aim of
the foundation is to give a lifeline of support to families and institutions
caring for disabled children and adults.
She adds: “Because
everyone is unique, our charity cares about providing individual support to
enrich the lives of disabled children and adults. We provide a broad range of
services to support families and professionals in their vital role of caring.”
Speaking on
the launching of the foundation, Ms Saine who is married to a Hollandis, said her foundation is set to be launch at
the Kairaba Beach Hotel in Kololi targeting 50 people living with disability, 50 representatives from
different organisations as well as other 50 dignitaries.
