News Banjul The Gambia (MB)- With effect from yesterday Wednesday, fuel price in The Gambia has increased, after an announcement was made over the state-owned The Gambia Radio and Television Services Monday 7th June 2010 announced that there would be increase in price of fuel starting Wednesday 9th June 2010 with is now effective in all parts in the country.
This information was revealed by The Gambian ministry of Finance who did not gives reason for the increment.
The national broadcaster quoting a press release from the ministry of finance says the price of Gas oil has been increased from D32.00 to D33.00 and petrol D33.00 to D38.00.
Meanwhile the price of kerosene remains pegged at D26.00. And all companies, retailers and dealers are therefore urged to comply with the new changes.
