NEWS GAMBIA, BANJUL, The Central Bank of The Gambia has issued a licence to Zenith Bank (Gambia) limited a Nigerian bank to commence operations in the country under section 4 of the banking Act 2009.
Central Bank in its quest is informing the public that the said licence was issued to the bank on 30th December 2009 to conduct banking business in the country.
Zenith Bank (Gambia) limited is a subsidiary of Zenith Bank Nigeria Plc, which is headquartered In Lagos, Nigeria.
The licensing of the said bank, according to Central Bank makes a total of fourteen (14) banks in the country adding that as at now fourteen commercial banks are currently operating in small Gambia.
